ABOUT THE CONCERT
Mayday mayday! The Imperial Starships will break free of hyperspace and land in Richmond on June 2, 2018! The Richmond Orchestra and Chorus needs your help! You're our only Hope! The force is under siege! Bring your lightsabers and blasters - come in costume and help save the musicians from the dark side!
The mission begins at 6:00pm - come in costume, meet our intergalactic visitors and enter your costume for a chance to win a $500 prize package for “Best Intergalactic Costume”. When the doors to the shuttle open, you will be swept across the magical solar system of sounds; far, far away into the galaxy of John Williams’ music. Jump into hyperspace with the excitement of Star Wars! Experience the bristling adventures of Indiana Jones and the nostalgia of the gentle alien E.T.. The black hole of Jaws will try to drag you down, but the magic of Harry Potter will spring you free! Get swept into the rich pallet of adventure, magic and evils with the orbiting harmonies of John Williams’ musical universe.
The concert experience begins with preshow activities at 6:00pm in the hanger with the doors to the shuttle opening at 7:00pm. The quest to save the Richmond Orchestra and Chorus begins at 7:30pm at Fraserview Church located in the center of Richmond’s universe at 11295 Mellis Drive. The venue offers FREE parking and is accessibility friendly. If still available, tickets may be purchased at the door with discounted tickets available in advance online. Fun for all ages!
