We believe that volunteers are invaluable to the Richmond Orchestra & Chorus Association (ROCA). We appreciate and welcome the different experiences, perspectives and knowledge our volunteers bring to promote the artistic development of young musicians and singers in our community.
The Richmond Orchestra and Chorus Association has been performing in Richmond and surrounding areas for almost 40 years. ROCA typically presents 5-6 concerts throughout the year – some with chorus only, some with orchestra only, and some with our full combined forces. Above all, we seek to entertain and enrich the lives of our audiences by bringing them excellent performances of great music.
The ROCA Board of Directors is a mix of Chorus and Orchestra members, as well as community representatives. ROCA is looking for board members who would like to help us grow ROCA’s noteworthy position in Richmond’s cultural soundscape.
Our governance model includes a relationship between our staff (Administration, Artistic Directors), Board of Directors and our committees of volunteers. Committee tasks can be short or long term work and we are always seeking those who might like to support various projects and initiatives.
We value our Staff, Volunteers, and Board of Directors!
